Washington County Resources and Contacts

Washington County Health and Human Services provides a variety of programs to families, adults, and children that need assistance with mental health, substance abuse, and disability issues as well as promotion of health and safety of the whole community.

  • Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) provides support services to adults with disabilities and their caregivers.

  • Birth to 3 provides early intervention services for children with developmental delays

  • Children’s Long Term Support (CLTS)  helps children with disabilities and their families through funding supports and services that help children grow and live their best lives.
    Children’s Community Options Program (CCOP) funds many supports and services that you can’t get through other insurance, Medicaid, or the Children’s Long-Term Support Program. It can also pay for a one-time need.
    Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) provides a flexible array of individualized community based psycho-social rehabilitation services authorized by a mental health professional for consumers with mental health or substance abuse issues across their lifespan (Children and adults).
    Coordinated Services Team (CST)  is for children experiencing severe emotional disabilities. This program is designed to provide families with the needed support services which keep them intact, prevent out-of-home placements, and improve educational opportunities for children.

  • Crisis Intervention will assist via telephone or in person 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for individuals experiencing a mental health emergency. All staff are fully trained in crisis intervention, and can assist in averting a mental health emergency, de-escalating a situation, and will offer community based options that may help to prevent an inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. We also offer suicide risk assessments, crisis counseling and crisis planning to assist with short and long term needs.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) provides nutrition education, breastfeeding education and support, supplemental nutritious foods, and referrals to other health and nutrition services.

Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department provides community assessment, education, and collaborative health interventions for all who live, work, and play in Washington and Ozaukee counties.

Free and Low Cost Health and Dental Care

  • Lakeshore Community Healthcare is a patient centered medical home that provides primary and preventive medical, behavioral (mental) health and dental care. They accept private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and have sliding scale fees for those without insurance.
