  • Every child has a place inside that only a dad can fill. Active dads are providers and role models. When dads have a positive influence, families thrive. Dad Matters is an ongoing group based on the 24/7 Dad curricula of the National Fatherhood Initiative. Be an all day, every day dad. Be a dad who matters. A certificate is awarded after 10 weeks of participation. SATURDAYS 10:00-11:45am How to be a positive influence in the life of your child. Discuss ideas and concerns about parenting with other dads Understand why children think and behave the way they do. Gain effective parenting tips for discipline. Form parenting agreements with your child’s mother

  • ​10 session series of classes specifically for dads

  • The evidence-based curriculum considers parenting from the male point of view and focuses on the importance of dad as a positive role mode in a child's life

  • Discussions include: family history, emotional and physical health, self-awareness,
    fathering skills, child development, relationship issues and more

  • Fee: $30 for materials, verification, handouts and certificate of participation
